Starmageddon

Starmageddon is a classic space shooter game right up there with Space Invaders. The big difference is that Starmageddon has some better graphics and tons of upgrades for the ship. In the game, aliens are invading and it is up to the player to stop them.

Either the mouse or the keyboard can control the ship, and the player is given the option right at the beginning. The player’s ship has two helpful pieces of equipment: guns and shockwave, both of which can be upgraded. The shockwave is what it sounds like: a shockwave that shoots out from around the ship, destroying the enemies that it touches.

During the level, the player moves the ship. The guns of Starmageddon shoot automatically, but the shockwave is activated with a click of the mouse. The shockwave bar has to be full before it can be activated. As the player moves the ship, enemy alien ships fly around, firing guns and lasers. Destroy as many of them as possible, collecting coins and other goodies along the way. At the end of each level, there is a boss to defeat.

Once a level is completed, the player can upgrade their ship’s guns and shockwave with the coins they have collected. This is a must to defeating the game. The levels become increasingly harder, with an onslaught of enemies coming from all sides. With every upgrade, the ship becomes a deadly alien-fighting machine, unstoppable and practically invincible.
